The movie got to a strong start in Japan, attracting over 100 thousand viewers across 63 theaters in the first week of its release. It will hit Singapore theatres in 3-D starting 1st December 2012. Check out the trailer below:
Skycrapers in London, Moscow, Berlin, and New York are destroyed by simultaneous bombings due to indiscriminate terrorism by an unknown group.
To counter this, the group of nine cyborg fighters who previously rescued humanity from threats, along with the man who created them, Dr. Gilmore, have been summoned to form the team again. However, the 00 Number Cyborgs' former leader, a Japanese man named Joe Shimamura, is now living alone in Tokyo's Roppongi with his past memories erased. is a modern adaptation of the classic manga series created by the legendary Shotaro Ishinomori, author of other such notable works as Kamen Rider, Goranger, Kikaider, and Skullman.
The movie was indeed very captivating and the amazing artwork showcased in 3D was breathtaking. The plot was held together nicely, even though the ending left us hanging and wanting more. Definitely a movie to catch if you love the series or is simply an anime fan.
009 Re:Cyborg will premier on December 1st in both 2D and 3D.
