Anime Festival Asia (AFA) 2013 Day 2 & 3 (Part 1)

Event: Anime Festival Asia Singapore 2013
Organised By: Sozo, Dentsu
Date: 8th - 10th Nov 2013
Location: Suntec International Convention and Exhibition Centre

Continuing on from Day 1, here's a summary of Day 2 and Day 3! Even after walking around the event repeatedly, I have to say I was kept entertained with the many stage performances and booths!

On Day 2, I came early to snap photos of the event area! We have the usual - stores selling anime goods!

After the doors opened, the lines started forming immediately. People were dashing in to buy their favourite anime goods, especially Love Live!.

There were also doujin booths featuring fan-made goods of some of this year's popular anime/games, namely Shingeki no Kyojin, Free!, Kuroko no Basket, Dangan Ronpa, and Pokemon (Look at the adorable Espurr/Meowstic family from Miso Niso OAO)!

Moving on, there were quite a number of interesting exhibitions lined up in the hall. Like, the Shingeki no Kyojin photo spot, with a wall for you to "terrorize" and a 1:1 Scale Titan Head to claim as your kill. You could also receive a free titan headband!

You could also read manga at the Manga Festival Booth. With over 500 titles to browse through, a manga fan could spend the whole afternoon there (although an understanding of Japanese would be required)!

For girls, not only could you have your hair styled, but also your nails and make up done at the Asia 可愛 Way booth! Prisila Wigs and accessories such as ribbon hair clips, hairbands and sunglasses were also on sale.

Asia 可愛 Way also put up a Culture Entertainment Show (Day 2), featuring performers such as Hachioji-P, AMIAYA and Dempagumi.inc, and models such as Miume and Tenchim. Not only was there catchy songs and dances, there was also a fashion show!

 Hachioji-P: Baby Maniacs

Dancing to Hachioji-P's Tunes

Catwalks by Models

AMIAYA: Tokyo Pop

AMIAYA Taking the Dance Floor

Dempagumi.inc with Their Energetic Dances

Group Shot at the End

Overall, it was quite an engaging and interesting performance! Definitely something worth catching even if you have little interest in fashion!

Look out for Part 2 for the rest of the event activities!
